27/06/23: The first Aldenham Tournament since 2019 took place on Sunday. Nirav Patel/Rubel Malik eased past Ralph Morgan/Darshan Patel in the final to win by a two-point margin. Nirav’s first Heath win and Rubel’s third.

June 2015: Aldenham Tournament - Rennie & Pulsford win (but it wasn't a fix, honestly...)

Played at Aldenham on Sunday 14th June 2015

The courts were buzzing well before the start with players warming up and practising their favourite shots. The clearing of the skies and warmer weather added to the general bonhomie as did the arrival of players in a mix of Heath green and multi-coloured past winners' shirts. Our guests Gareth Hoskins, Karen Hird and Harriet Asquith were welcomed from North Oxford EFC as well as Ralph Morgan who is a rare Old Abingdonian fives player on the circuit!

2014 Heath Tournament: Austin And Margerison Win The Day

The 2014 Heath Tournament was played on Sunday June 15th with full courts under (sometimes) sunny skies. The competitors ranged in age from the veterans James Fredenham, Joseph Seelig and Bob Pace to the youth and enthusiasm of Andrew Rennie, Carl Rennie, Darshan Patel and Josh Rose so making the competition an agreeable mix of ages and experience. Most competitors were members of the Aldenham Club but Gareth Hoskins, Karen Hird, Mandie Barnes, Ian Mitchell, and the evergreen Courtney Friend were welcomed returning guests. Our newcomers were Ralph Morgan and Jamie Burchill.

Aldenham Tournament 2013: Pulsford and Malik triumph

The courts were buzzing well before the start with players warming up and practising their favourite shots. The warm weather added to the general bonhomie as did the arrival of players in a mix of green and coloured winners' shirts well before the draw was made. Nick Shaw, Gareth Hoskins and Ian Mitchell were welcomed from North Oxford EFC – our ‘sister’ club.

The 2012 Heath Tournament was played on Sunday 13th May amidst bright sunshine. Most competitors were members of the Aldenham Club but thanks must go to the North Oxford contingent who turned out in force despite being scheduled for a second match at Marlborough later the same day.

Played at Aldenham on Sunday 26th June 2016

The courts were buzzing well before the start with players warming up and practicing their favourite shots. The warm weather added to the general bonhomie as did the arrival of Harriet Asquith with enough portions of Victoria sponge and chocolate brownies to feed all entrants and passers-by!

The 2011 Heath Tournament was played on Sunday 22 May under (sometimes) sunny skies. The competitors ranged in age from the veterans like Martin Lindsay, James Fredenham and Richard Dennis to the decidedly young faced Carl Rennie and Simon Turpin, so making the competition an agreeable mix of ages and experience. Most competitors were members of the Aldenham Club but Gareth Hoskins and Courtney Friend were welcome guests.
