29/04/19: The Veterans Competition in association with Advanta Wealth, newly renamed the Legends Competition, is truly a great finale to the fives season and this year was particularly competitive in the fight for all three trophies.

This year was particularly competitive with many individual games lasting beyond the hour mark; there would be aches and pains aplenty the next day!

This year was no exception.The threatened rain thankfully held off all afternoon. Amid general good humour after due allowance for a couple of late arrivals the competition got under way.

Veterans Competitions 28th April 2013
The 2013 Veterans Tournament took place at Eton at the weekend and saw wins for Mike Hughes and Grant Williams in the open competition, Chris Davies and Chris Lloyd in the Over 50s and for Ronald Pattison and Tony Walters in the Over 60s.

The twenty seventh Veterans Tournament was held on Sunday 1st May at Eton College in glorious sunshine. Prince William and Catherine had just been married and the Arsenal footballers finally roused themselves enough to beat Manchester United.
2010 Veterans Tournament: the Golden Oldies shine in the sun at Eton

The Veterans Tournament took place at Eton on Sunday 18th April with 17 pairs taking part in a veritable festival of Fives. With a combined age of 283, Messrs Whitehead D, Whitehead G, Cooper and Stringer may have set some sort of record in their match, whilst at the younger end of the spectrum the Open tournament was won by Mike Hughes and Grant Williams, who defeated defending champions Graham Pulsford and Courtney Friend in a close final.
