Dan's The New Man At Westway

20/04/18: Daniel Thackeray has just started in his new role as Fives and Wallball Manager/Coach at Westway.

He says: "My passion for coaching children’s sport started at the age of 16, when I started off volunteering. I love being involved in and playing different sports and believe in creating a fun and enjoyable environment so everyone has a positive experience.

I have over over ten years of coaching experience, have completed my FA Level 1 and 2, a Foundation Degree in Sports Coaching and Performance and various qualifications in basketball, dodgeball, multi-skills and volleyball.

I am an avid cyclist, regular gym-goer and love playing football.

I am really excited for the future of Fives and Wallball here at Westway. I believe they are great sports that have many benefits for people of all ages and abilities who wish to be active and have fun! I shall be exploring different ways to increase participation in these little known but wonderful sports!"
