Favourite shot: The recently learnt Al Taylor left hand underarm shot on top step to side wall, with backspin. Great when it works.

Most memorable moment: First cut to Peter Bates on Lancing courts aged 13 , which zinged round the walls and hit him in the chest. The rest is history.
