U12s Have A Ball At Harrow

16/11/22: The latest EFA Junior Individual tournament took place at Harrow on Sunday with 60 U12s coming together from a range of schools to enjoy a fantastic day's Fives.

The U12 event is always once of the most popular in the individual tournament series and the Harrow courts were full to capacity all afternoon with boys and girls from Berkhamsted, St.Olave's, Ipswich and Summer Fields plus three pupils from Chesham Prep, who have been playing at Berkhamsted and who were making their first ever appearance in a Fives competition. We very much hope we'll be seeing more of them!

With first time organiser Dom Robson doing a fantastic job, the usual format was followed, with a series of five one-set matches. Each player was given a number and in each round, was randomly paired up with and against different players from different schools. After the excitement of a "penalty shoot-out to determine the final placings, the four most successful players - three from Berkhamsted and one from Summer Fields - then played a showpiece final in front of a large crowd, with the Berko/SF combination coming out on top.
