Centenary ArtEFActs
13/06/24: Last month’s Centenary launch event included the opportunity to view an exhibition of Eton Fives artefacts specially curated for the occasion by Alex Knight.
The selection included both familiar and extraordinary objects spanning the history and geography of the sport – from a 1920’s photo album showing the first courts built in Nigeria, to a ‘Fives Cannon’ built by a Kinnaird Cup winner – and over the course of the Centenary year photographs and descriptions of these will be made available to all EFA members.
The first in the series is a genuinely historic object, found close to the summit of Mount Everest, and reproduced by kind permission of the Royal Geographical Society with IBG. CLICK HERE to find out more.
