EFA Centenary Drinks Reception And Awards 2025

16/05/25: The EFA's Centenary Year came to a close on Thursday evening with a well-attended reception that featured this year's awards presentation.

EFA Chair Matt Chinery and Advanta Wealth CEO Craig Webster handed out the awards for the 2024/25 season - which members of the Fives community have been voting for over the last few weeks - to the following:

The Advanta Unsung Hero award was presented this year to Ipswich School coach, minibus driver and plate winner extraordinaire Tony Stubbs, a most deserving recipient.

A display of archive photos - including some significantly younger versions of some of those present - was on display as well as a slideshow of photos from an extremely busy and successful centenary year. EFA Chair Matt Chinery reflected on many of the highlights, including the opening of the Holyport courts and the Constantinidi Fives Centre, the Centenary Dinner at Lord's. World Fives Day and the ongoing Centenary Appeal.
