National Schools' Championships Underway At Shrewsbury

20/03/23: The main week of the 2023 National Schools' Championships in association with Advanta Wealth kicked off yesterday at Shrewsbury.

Some of the younger age group competitions and all of the qualifying tournaments have been taking place at various venues over the last few weeks, but the main week started yesterday with the early rounds of the U15 competitions. The girls U15 tournament is open to all girls pairs at that age group; the top eight pairs in last year's open U14 competition are ineligible for the following year's U15 tournament.

Yesterday's play saw the two competitions complete the quarter-finals. The semi-finals will be played today alongside the early stages of the U16 competitions.
