World Fives Day

28/04/20: We are excited to launch World Fives Day on the 5th of May … get it?!? The aim will be to use the day to promote our sport with a different campaign theme each year. In the future we hope to try and use the day to get all the courts in the world being played on, use it as a day for people to try the sport and do something good.

Our theme this year is #FivesForFelix. The Felix Project is a charity closely connected to the Fives community and is doing amazing work collecting food and supplying it to schools, charities and holiday hunger programmes to ensure the most vulnerable in society can get fed. The Felix Project rescue surplus food from wholesalers and deliver it directly to food banks, schools, and other charities but, during this Covid-19 crisis, they are also delivering large quantities of food into new emergency food hubs as part of the London Food Alliance. So this year for World Fives Day, we would like you to get involved by posting a fives photo/video on social media (Instagram or Facebook) with the #WorldFivesDay #FivesForFelix #PostFivesDonateFives hashtags and then donate, if you are able, £5 (or whatever you wish) to the Felix Project via THIS LINK.

We realise you won’t be able to make it to a court so search through your albums and try to find something where you are playing, celebrating, or using a fives court for another reason. If you have managed to make/find a makeshift court then we’d love to see the photos or just a video of you hitting a ball against a wall. We’ll be sharing our favourites throughout the day so please tag @eton_fives_association and @thefelixproject so we can follow what you are doing.

Please share this with your team and friends so we get as many people involved as possible.
