Southern Stars

02/08/17: North Oxford EFC went on their summer tour over the weekend, playing on the courts at Torry Hill, High Elms, Friston Place and Sunningdale, with an overnight stop in Eastbourne in the middle.

Gareth Hoskins, Karen Hird, Andy Bishop, Ian Mitchell, Mandie Barnes, Ashley Lumbard and Chris Ballingall played at all four venues and were joined at various times by Ralph Morgan, Matthew Beard and Spencer Chapman. The rain was largely avoided, thankfully given the need to play on two roofless courts, and the itinerary allowed the players to play on some of the more "off the beaten track" courts in some absolutely beautiful settings. Thanks to the Leigh-Pemberton, Shawcross and Dawson clans for letting us play on their courts!
