New Teams Take To The Court At Westway

30/11/17: Imperial College London Vs Cardinal Vaughan Memorial School

On Wednesday 29th November, Westway played host to five Imperial College players (Dev Awal, Minwoo Hyun, Hao Liang, Aran Patel and Neelesh Rav) and three Cardinal Vaughan Year 11 players.

This was the first competitive experience for both groups, having only taken up the sport within the last 2/3 months. Every player played a total of three 1 game matches, with each player pairing with someone new each match. Throughout the fixture, a great standard of Fives was played and all the players who competed should be extremely proud of their performances, especially considering how new to the game they are.

A very big thank you must go to Kotka Lim for all the great work he has done setting up/working with the Imperial College students. Westway/Cardinal Vaughan are looking forward to the chance of playing another fixture against the group in the near future and we very much hope that the Imperial College boys continue to enjoy the sport.

The three Cardinal Vaughan players will be rejoined by the rest of the school group next Wednesday, when they travel to Berkhamsted for an after school fixture. We wish the team good luck for its first inter-school Fives match and hope all the boys enjoy themselves.
