ARK Brunel at Westway

03/05/23: Today at Westway the courts were once again in use by local school pupils.

I am delighted to report that half of the current Year 5 from Ark Brunel Primary Academy were on court this morning enjoying a coaching session led by Dom Robson. Next week the second half or the cohort will have their turn; in the following weeks pupils will then be able to put their names forward to be selected by the school to continue playing. If their enthusiasm today is anything to go by there will be plenty of volunteers. Alex Tarrant the PE Lead at Ark Brunel suggested to the pupils today that their behaviour may influence the selection criteria, so fingers crossed that the keenest will not blot their copy books back at school.

The Year Six pupils will get their chance after half term. They too will be able to have further sessions on a similar basis. Clearly, we hope that this is just a start and that more schools from the Ark Group will come along and that Fives at Westway will become a regular part of their P.E. and Sport curriculum in September.
