2023 WSSL Up And Running

Dom Robson reports:

31/05/23: This year's Westway Summer Superleague is up and running with the first two weeks completed and all ten teams in action.

Week One saw the first round of matches in this year's Westway Summer Super League. Despite many competitive rallies, the strong line-ups from Aston House Stampede, The Mewtants, and Highgate proved too much for St Olave's Storm, Westway Wolves, and Westway Wildcats, while HA1 Newbury also picked up full points as Citizens were unfortunately unable to get a team out for the match.

Week Two saw Stampede and The Mewtants cement their places at the top of their respective groups although The Mewtants dropped a game owing to injury (we wish Dave a swift recovery!) Citizens entered the competition with a bang, winning a clean sheet alongside 5 hole shots and a strong 5-game win for the Wildcats leaves Group Two wide open. Thoroughbreds and Storm picked up their first games, while Wolves came agonisingly close yet again! Wanderers remain pointless but managed to put out a full team which was an achievement in itself.
