National Schools Championships: Day Four: Olave's Win The Open
27/03/25: Wednesday in the National Schools' Championships in association with Advanta Wealth saw a dominant win for St.Olave's in the Open.
Aadi Agarwal & Tanish Arjaria have already made a strong impression in the senior ranks in the last couple of years, including a win at the Midlands Tournament back in October, and were strong favourites to win the Open this year. To do so, however, they had to beat a strong Berkhamsted pair, with one of last year's winning pair Ben Spooner back alongside 2024 U16 champion Ed Horsley. Both pairs had defeated Etonian opposition in the semi-finals before facing each other in the final, which was won in convincing fashion by the impressive Olavian pair for the loss of only 13 points.
Elsewhere on the courts at Shrewsbury, the U14 competition got underway and made it through to the last four, with the semis and the final taking place today. Also today will be the opening rounds of the U14 novices and the mixed competition.
