National Schools Championships Day Six
29/03/25: The final day's play at the National Schools' Championships in association with Advanta Wealth saw wins for Shrewsbury, Eton and Zuoz with a couple of tournaments still to be completed.
The morning's action saw a tight all-Shrewsbury Mixed final and a second win in successive days for Eton's U14s as their novices won the U14 beginners' final against Shrewsbury.
The Boys' and Girls' Festivals attracted a healthy entry from a wide range of schools. The Boys' Festival saw the top two St.Bees pairs fall at the semi-final stage before Zuoz went on to come from a game down to win the final against a tiring Repton pair.
The Girls' Festival ended with two Mill Hill pairs reaching the final, which will be played on their home courts on Tuesday.
The Girls' Open has also reached the final stage; Highgate's U16 champions are looking to double up with the senior title and won their semi-final against Shrewsbury 2. One of their players injured herself in the process, however, and their final against Shrewsbury 1 will take place at a later date, to be agreed.
