2007 Prep Schools' Tournament

Gerald Barber reports:

It was fitting that in its 40th year the Prep Schools Competition attracted a record number of pairs from a record number of schools. 2007 Ipswich Tournament

Mike Fenn reports:

The first weekend of 2007 witnessed an excellent if somewhat exhausting two days of Fives. The continuous supply of hot soup and keg beer was much welcomed by all the players and helped to make up for the depressing weather and to keep the aching limbs moving. All pairs were very evenly matched and it was good to see the very high standard of Fives achieved by the boys from the School. Visiting guests included Peter Scholey and Courtney Friend (Old Edwardians.)

Qualifying Tournament at Eton - November 12th

The qualifying tournament for this year's County Championship had a real buzz about it. It was good to see many players making their debut alongside some really experienced players including four Kinnaird Cup winners. The competition also allowed the university teams from Cambridge and Oxford to take part in a three pair competition - a great opportunity to test their strength and try out different pairings in advance of the Varsity Match.
