16/01/17: For the second year in succession, wet weather and tricky conditions affected the qualifying rounds for the EFA trophy, but Fives players are hardy souls and the nine teams and over sixty players taking part in this year's competition carried on regardless to produce a fantastic day of Fives.

2017 Ipswich Tournament: Lyle and Lumbard Leave Graves Challengers Dead and Buried

09/01/17: With 2016 finally consigned to the scrap heap of history, January 2017 saw the Graves Cup sailing towards the Fives players of Ipswich like a lifeboat of hope amongst the shipwrecked carnage caused by Brexit, a Trump Presidency and Ipswich Town finding themselves 2-1 down to Lincoln with 5 minutes to go in the Cup.

2016 Turnbull Trophy: Five in a Row for St.Olave's

12/12/16: The Olavian pair of Seb Cooley and Tom Gallagher piled on the records in the 2016 Graham Turnbull Trophy at Eton yesterday with a fifth consecutive Olavian win, a record sixth title for Seb Cooley (although he never managed to win the tournament as a schoolboy, losing in the final in both 1996 and 1997) and a third win for Tom Gallagher, the first school player to win more than twice.

London Tournament 2016: Harrow - is it three you're looking for?

05/12/16: The London Tournament has been back at Harrow for three years now, and 2016 saw a third win out of three for Seb Cooley and Tom Dunbar (a fourth in a row going back to Highgate days and a fifth in total together as well as a tenth overall for Tom) as they beat perennial rivals James Toop and Matthew Wiseman in a riveting final.
