Alan Barber Cup: Number 15 For Record-Equalling Olavians

19/02/18: The Old Olavians won the Alan Barber Cup at Eton once again yesterday, their fifteenth straight win equalling the record of consecutive victories in the competition set by the Old Cholmeleians between 1977 and 1991. They have now won the competition 18 times in the last 19 years and their 19 victories overall puts them only four behind the Cholmeleians record of 23.

12/02/18: The Old Olavians moved within one match of a record-equalling fifteenth consecutive Alan Barber Cup win at Eton yesterday as they eased past the Old Wulfrunians in the semi-final to set up an eighth final in nine years against main rivals the Old Salopians, who beat Lancing on the adjacent courts.

Dec 2014: Salopians squeak through to set up ABC Final rematch

01/12/14: The Alan Barber Cup semi-finals were at Eton yesterday afternoon, with the Olavians and the Salopians making it through to set up a replay of last year's final. The Olavians had a routine win over the Old Harrovians but the Salopians were pushed all the way by Lancing, only winning in the fifth game of the deciding pair. The final is at Eton at 2:30pm on Sunday 18th January.
