2004 Aberconway Cup
Mike Fenn reports:
The Fourteenth Championship took place at Eton College on a miserable windy and rainy day much to the chagrin of the organiser and few spectators brave enough to combat the elements. That said the inclement weather did not spoil the enjoyment of those on court, all matches being played in excellent spirits and to a very high standard.
2003 Aberconway Cup
Mike Fenn reports:
The Thirteenth Championship contained five new pairs contributing to over half the entry. Some eight Clubs/Schools were represented with players from Eton, Shrewsbury, Highgate, King Edward's, City of London, Lancing, St Olave's and Goddington. Several regulars were absent due to injury with one or two fathers hanging up their gloves whilst others were unable to enter due to sons abroad or away at University. With five further potential newcomer pairs in the wings and some eighteen others still playing the potential for next year is enormous.

2001 Aberconway Cup
Mike Fenn reports:
The Eleventh Championship was held at Eton on Sunday 22nd April. The absence of the Dunbar family, dominant champions for the last five years, threw the Championship wide open and gave added impetus to the aspirations of the other entrants. Each was determined to take advantage of this unexpected opportunity to become holders of the Aberconway Cup.
2000 Aberconway Cup
Mike Fenn reports:
The Tenth Championship was held on a sunny day at Eton on Sunday 30th April, a few weeks later than usual following a late Easter. Unfortunately the late Easter, combined with injuries, sons overseas or back at University and the 'retirement' of two Dads gave the lowest turnout since the inauguration of the Championship nine years ago. Fortunately, from an organisational point of view, eight pairs entered (half the 1999 total) including the first Father and Daughter pairing - John and Charlotta Cooley. With Tom unavailable, Peter Dunbar was drafted in to support Graham in defence of the title.
1999 Aberconway Cup
Mike Fenn reports:
The ninth Championship was held at Eton on Sunday 18th April. Sixteen pairs, ideal for the organiser, entered with newcomers Simon Sherrard (first Fives in twenty-five years) and James, John Cooley and Seb and Jacob Walters all playing in their first Fathers and Sons. The age span again ranged across some forty-five years with players from eleven clubs and six schools participating.
